Gardening for Nature

Manada Conservancy’s Gardening for Nature program offers assistance to homeowners and business property owners in landscape design by utilizing native plant species to support the creation of healthy habitats for wildlife and create visual interest throughout the seasons.

The service includes an onsite meeting with Manada Conservancy’s Gardening for Nature Consultant, Laurie Crawford, to tour the property and discuss client goals.  Laurie will create and return to the client a written plan and list of recommendations including general property recommendations, native plants suitable for the site, a visual layout or drawing of the recommended plants, a list of sources from which plants might be purchased, gardening practice recommendations, and possible concerns for the client to be aware of.
