Thank you for going beyond our challenge goal!
Thanks to the generosity of over 130 donors, our 25th anniversary campaign challenge exceeded our goal. Your contributions up to $35,000 were matched by donations from Pronio’s Market, Tom & Kit Abendroth, and Rich & Sally Zaino. In total, over $70,000 was raised to fuel land protection and environmental education in our community and a lasting legacy of conservation.

As we look back at all we’ve been able to accomplish together since Manada Conservancy’s beginnings 25 years ago, we’re reminded of the urgency of the work yet to be done. The development pressures that inspired a group of friends and neighbors to band together to protect land, clean water, and wildlife habitat then are just as persistent now.
Collectively we have the opportunity to counteract these impacts. Thanks to a generous donation from Pronio’s Market, we kicked off our 25/25 matching campaign in June. Because of the incredible response from members and supporters, we exceeded our original goal, and (thanks to the generous $25,000 match from Pronio’s Market and members of our own Board — the Zainos and Tom Abendroth, with his wife Kit) we were able to extend the matching donations to $35,000. Because of your generosity, we have gone over that extended goal! Thank you! Any additional donations received will be applied to this fund but will not qualify for the match.
We are so grateful to Pronio’s Market, our Board members, and to all of you who are helping to support land preservation, environmental education, and community engagement.
The Pronio family chose to preserve their farm with Manada Conservancy after witnessing firsthand the transformation of the surrounding landscape – orchards and farms giving way to unplanned development, increased traffic and lost open space. By spearheading this matching campaign, they hope to inspire others to preserve land, support Manada Conservancy’s efforts, and value the crucial services that intact, connected land provides for us all.
Due to the dedication of volunteers and members like you, Manada Conservancy has protected over 2500 acres of land in the past 25 years. Imagine what we can accomplish together over the next 25 years!
