Murray and Rhonda Laudenslager have been partnering with Manada Conservancy for over fifteen years, preserving land together in Dauphin County. Laudenslager Mountain is their third and largest collaborative preservation project with us, conserving 225 acres of pristine wetland and forest on Peter’s Mountain in Wayne Township.
During the winter of 2018, the DCNR awarded us a grant to help fund the purchase of a conservation easement on the land, and in 2019 the easement was finalized, protecting a two-mile long stretch of mountain wilderness for future generations.
